Mr. Chintan Thumar, Managing Director, Weavetech Engineers Ltd., Surat has been elected as the Hon. Treasurer of Textile Machinery Manufacturer’s Association (India) (TMMA) for the year 2023-2024.

Mr. Thumar is a dual graduate in Electronics & Computer Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, USA. He has an executive management degree in Entrepreneurship from London Business School, UK. He also has an Executive Development Programme Certification in Small Medium Business Enterprises from IIM Ahmedabad.

Prior to joining his family firms in the fields of Textile & Engineering, Mr. Thumar has interned in GE (USA), Raytheon (USA) & BCG (UK) during his academic years. Since 2005, he has been actively learning to run day to day operations of the textile & engineering firms of his various group companies.

His experience in his group firms covers the area of operations, supply chain, sales, customer services , accounting & finance. Currently, he is actively involved in Research & Development of new products as well as Business Development through market expansions & new market entry strategies.

Mr. Thumar is also involved in various associations including SGCCI & CITI (YEG) & an NGO (Section 8 Trust).

Mr. Thumar is also a member of Institute of Directors & is a certified corporate Director.
